‘Everything is on the point of decline’  W.G Seabold

You can take a girl out of Birmingham, but you can’t take Birmingham out of the girl!  28 wonderful years I have called Aotearoa home but when it comes to making, the urban ness of my upbringing always finds its way to the fore.

Through surface experiments and materials associated with Urban growth and demise, I ask questions about beauty, worth and value. The alteration of the surface is intended to draw attention to the beauty found in decline. Through wear and tear each piece will expose itself wholly to the wearer. This unpredictability of process and material is what intrigues me.

I completed my degree in Contemporary Craft, Jewellery Design in 2012 I was awarded the Graduate Prize and since been represented by Fingers Gallery along with other galleries both in NZ and overseas. Presently, I am lecturing at Whitecliffe college whilst keeping myself emersed with the wonderful contemporary jewellery scene of Aotearoa.
